SSR is a professional staffing firm providing temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire staffing solutions within the Accounting and Finance arenas. All of our staff members have backgrounds in the industry, both staffing and accounting, which enable us to understand our clients and candidates needs.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

 ACCOUNTING CLERK

This position will facilitate accurate and timely process of all phases of accounts payable functions, including processing and entering a high volume of invoices, check runs, employee expense reports, filing and researching statements. This position is also responsible for processing bank deposits and posting of company-wide bank deposits daily. Other duties include; invoicing monthly contract billings, and inputting contract job numbers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, verifying, reconciling and posting a high volume of vendor invoices and statements in a timely and accurately fashion.
  • Checking invoices against purchase orders to determine correct pricing and reconcile
  • Vendor relations and maintenance, working together to resolve issues, research and follow up
  • Process check runs
  • Reconcile, if needed, accounts payable G/L during month end closing process
  • File all invoices and checks during processes
  • Interact within the department and with management to provide assistance in problem solving
  • Maintain AR system
  • Post AR checks
  • Maintain NSF check log
  • Make light collections and follow up
  • Receive AR calls
  • Print and mail customer statements

COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Candidates will be responsible for all aspects of the collection of accounts.

 

  • Collection of accounts in a profession manner
  • Utilize collection system for all day-to-day activities (auto-dialer a plus)
  • Arrange electronic payments with organized follow up
  • Perform required skip tracing via the internet and other specified tools

 

Education/Skill Sets:

 

  • 2 year degree or related experience
  • 2+ years previous collections experience (proven track record in bad debt recovery collections)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven skip tracing experience
  • Proficient organizational and follow up skills

MEDICAL BILLER/COLLECTORS

In this position, the ideal candidate will be the one who keeps current, accurate billing on patient accounts, assures timely remittance, and takes immediate action on issues that involve account integrity. Verifies insurance coverage and follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assure accuracy of patient data and prepare billing according to regulations
  • Prepare/maintain billing files and records; understand net revenue schedule and unrealized contractual log in relation to patient accounts
  • Investigate delinquent accounts making recommendation on disposition of outstanding balance; contact third party organizations when necessary to facilitate timely payment of charges
  • Provide timely notation of action taken on patient accounts; process refunds to insurance carrier or patient; correct late charges; monitor insurance coding and effective/exhaust dates
  • Respond to patient account inquiries

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School diploma with proficient in Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations
  • Minimum of 2 years medical billing

 

AR ANALAYST

 

This position is responsible for invoicing, collections and working disputes for clients in a timely manner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect Accounts Receivable dollars and maintain accurate client statements & aging. This area also organizes/reconciles disputed invoice claims and Queries.
  • Aging maintenance and review:  Ensure the proper maintenance and reconciliation for the aging on assigned clients. 
  • Collecting:  Participate in the collection process for all assigned clients.
  • Posting Payments:  Once payment has been received, they must be posted and cleared to the proper client code and in the proper posting month. 
  • Research:  All unpaid items must be researched and queried back to the clients.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The position will be responsible for monthly close process, prepare accounting documentation (reconciliations and journal entries) and perform account and trend analyses to assure accuracy of financial records. This position will focus specifically on customer rebate accounting.  An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) and corporate accounting policies and procedures is needed. This is generally acquired through education process, with practical application gained through work experience. 

 

  • Requires the ability to compile, complete and analyze financial data / statements, including, but not limited to, Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements is a necessity.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written are essential due to the degree of documentation and interaction with various departments and external auditors.
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Strong analytical skills, organized and able to coordinate, prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Associate must have a minimum of a four-year degree in Accounting or Finance.

FINANCIAL CONSULTANT

This position is responsible for operational, analytical, administrative and managerial support to assigned clientele. Primary duties revolve around client support and management. The Associate Consultant will support and manage various client and plan types. The consultant must be familiar with industry concepts related to performance measurement and evaluation. CIPM and CFA Certifications will be strongly encouraged.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work within team to service, support & manage assigned clients.
  • Maintain and update client records and documents.
  • Review client reports prior to distribution.  Identify discrepancies with money manager results.
  • Verify that the clients plan is compliant with the Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
  • Analyze performance reports and interpret attribution analysis.  Draft quarterly plan reviews.
  • Communicate and field client requests as well as follow up items.
  • Clearly articulate plan results at Board meeting.
  • Coordinate manager searches with the research group and portfolio transitions with the money managers and custodians.
  • Coordinate/manage asset allocation rebalances.
  • Coordinate/manage structural changes to client plans.

FINANCIAL ANALYST

Prepares financial reports for management use regarding the results of company operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.

·         Prepare reports which summarize and forecast key operating metrics.

·         Analyze and consolidate budget data.

·         Assist in establishment and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

·         Maintain accounting records that accurately represent the operation of the company.

·         Provide adhoc analysis and data gathering to support the Operational Controller.

·         Prepare monthly and annual financial reporting to Parent Company.

·         Analyze financial information pertaining to possible acquisitions.

·         Make recommendations and assist in integration of accounting records of acquisitions.

·         Provide training to accounting personnel.

·         Prepare reports for governmental agencies.

 

Seeking candidates with their Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university plus three (3) to five (5) years related experience.  Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve, analyze data, work independently.  Must be proficient in Windows environment and possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.  Hyperion and database experience preferred.

TAX ACCOUNTANT

Prepare income, sales, property and miscellaneous tax returns, ensure timely payment of all taxes. Resolve issues that arise as a result of operations and various taxing jurisdictions. Prepare, calculate, project, and perform other related assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal tax regulations, including sales, property and income tax.
  • File state sales tax returns monthly. File annual income and property tax returns.
  • Review and respond to government notices.
  • Reconcile GL accounts.
  • Provide tax support, researching questions and resolving tax issues.
  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Ideal candidate would have their BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.
